OUR SERVICES

Our practice focuses on a large scope of cardiac needs with our state of the art diagnostic testing center and board certified providers.

WHAT WE TREAT

HOW WE TREAT IT

At The Heart Care Group PC, we strive to provide our patients with the best level of care by providing comprehensive testing to ensure that we are providing the most accurate and appropriate treatment plan.

Here are some of the following non-invasive testing conducted at our office:

ECG/EKG

This quick and simple testing method allows us to measure the heart’s electrical activity. This electrical activity allows us to determine if the heart is signaling proper blood flow. This test also allows us to understand the course of action for your care plan.

Cardiac Monitoring

A portable monitor or device worn from 1-14 days that evaluates symptomatic arrhythmias that may occur at infrequent times. This monitor comes home with patients to identify symptoms during their normal daily activities. These monitors allows features for a patient to signal the device when feeling a symptomatic to ensure the providers can see what is happening at that moment.

Exercise Stress Test

Also called a treadmill test, this test allows us to see how the heart is functioning upon exertion or stress. EKG monitors are continuously monitoring a patient's heart while walking on a treadmill.

Exercise Stress Echocardiogram

A test that evaluates cardiac function before, during and after exercise. This test uses the techniques of an Echocardiogram as well as a stress test (EKG) to identify the heart's function under “stress”. This test allows us to identify symptoms that may not be visible when the heart is in its resting state.

Echocardiography

Utilizing ultrasound technology and high frequency sound waves; this test evaluates the hearts structural and functional cardiac components. In other words, we are assessing the pumping and blood flow of your hearts to ensure proper treatment plans.

Vascular Doppler Ultrasound

A non-invasive procedure to study blood flow through the arteries and veins by using ultrasonic sound waves and advanced computer technology. Doppler ultrasounds can help detect blockages in the vessels caused by inflammation, plaque or blood clots.

Peripheral Vascular Doppler Ultrasound

A non-invasive scan that uses Doppler ultrasound to study blood flow in the arteries and veins. This is commonly performed on the legs or lower extremities to diagnose symptoms of peripheral artery disease (PAD).

Myocardial Perfusion Test (Nuclear Stress Test)

A testing procedure that uses a small amount of radioactive substance to assess the flow of blood to the heart muscle. Images of the heart muscle are captured during periods of exercise (while walking on a treadmill) and at rest. If you are unable to walk on a treadmill for this test, we provide medication that allows for similar results as if you were on a treadmill.

Coumadin Clinic

Our full service Coumadin/Anticoagulation clinic provides simple and easy management of your anticoagulants. A simple finger stick is all it takes to ensure proper management of this level of care. Anticoagulants are used to treat and prevent blood clots that may occur in your blood vessels. If a blood clot occurs it can block blood vessels in the body causing major harm.

Lab Tests

Blood tests can be ordered to help determine a patient’s risk for cardiovascular disease.

Pacemakers & Defibrillator Clinic

Implantable cardiac devices that can regulate serious arrhythmias. A pacemaker can speed up or regulate an abnormal heartbeat. A defibrillator can shock the heart when dangerous arrhythmias are detected and help patients avoid sudden cardiac arrest.

To learn more about these tests or to schedule your next cardiac evaluation, please feel free to to contact our office at anytime.
