The Device Center was established to care for patients who have problems related to the "electrical" system of the heart. The Center currently follows approximately 2,500 patients and implants more than 600 devices per year.
The electrical system of the heart ensures the heart beats normally to supply the body with blood necessary for daily activities. When abnormal electrical impulses occur, the heart may beat too fast, too slow, or in an irregular or chaotic fashion.
At The Device Center, physicians, physician assistants, and other medical staff work as a team to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms.
The Device Center offers the following services:
• Arrhythmia Management
• Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT)
• Defibrillator (ICD) Implantation and Follow-Up
• Electrophysiology Studies
• Pacemaker Implantation and Follow-Up
Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at various office locations.
Visits are covered by most insurance plans.
