The Center for Cardiac Risk Prevention

Martin E. Matsumura, MD, Medical Director
Susan Washburn, RN, MSN, CRNP, Co-Director

The Center for Cardiac Risk Prevention was established in 1998 to treat patients with severe cholesterol disorders. Over the years, the Center has added counseling for smoking cessation, dietary needs, and weight loss to its cholesterol management services.

Working together, our certified nurse practitioners, physicians, and patients achieve National Cholesterol Education Program IV (NCEP IV) goals through individualized medication therapy and other modern treatment options.

Our nurse practitioners are here to fully support patients throughout their treatment. Patients schedule regular office appointments with a nurse practitioner which helps them to achieve and maintain their goals in a safe, effective manner.

Services Include:
Cholesterol Management
Advanced Lipid Testing
Dietary Management
Weight Management
Smoking Cessation
Counseling and Follow-up
